Jonathan Gesk is a trial lawyer involved in the representation and counseling of clients in various legal fields, including personal injury litigation (automobile, tractor-trailer, products liability, premises liability, etc.); construction law (architects, engineers, construction managers, contractors); civil rights (police brutality, prisoners’ rights, malicious prosecution, wrongful arrest, etc.); and contract negotiations and disputes.

Jon was recently nominated and inducted into the Academy of Trial Lawyers, a group limited to Allegheny County’s 250 most exceptional civil trial lawyers from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s side of counsel table. On multiple occasions, Jonathan has been named a Pennsylvania Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine, a recognition reserved for no more than 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. He recently had the privilege of attending the 2014 National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law upon being awarded a scholarship by the ACBA Federal Court Section and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Jonathan is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania and West Virginia state courts, the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He has successfully tried cases in front of juries, arbitration panels and the American Arbitration Association. He has also handled matters in the magisterial district court level throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Jonathan attended law school at Duquesne University School of Law on a full-academic scholarship. During law school he was a member of the Duquesne Law Review and served on the editorial board. Prior to law school, Jonathan graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Finance from the Smeal College of Business.

He currently resides in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Carnegie Boys and Girls Club.
